We started Opensee as a team of former traders, risk officers, and capital markets practitioners, frustrated with not having a solution to easily and efficiently dive deep into all of our data and perform what-if analyses on the hundreds of billions of data points we had at hand – so we built our own.
In 2018, a number of Tier 1 banks started to recognise that Opensee had built a solution to their big data problems; giving financial institutions a way to leverage 100% of the data they had stored in their data lakes and empowering business users to access and analyze their data in real-time.
In 2019, Opensee joined Societe Generale’s Global Markets Incubator programme, during which the bank shared access to its infrastructure and billions of data. Seeing how our platform was able to create value in just a few months to efficiently manage its capital, Societe Generale soon decided to implement Opensee’s platform for its market risk management and liquidity processes.
In 2020, two other major GSIBs trusted Opensee to deploy at scale our data management and analytics platform in first and second line of defense to efficiently produce, report and manage their market and counterparty risks.
By 2022, we had raised 11 million euros in a Series A funding round led by Omnes Capital, with the participation of Laurion Capital and Societe Generale Ventures, fueling our growth.
Today, we work with the world’s leading banks, asset managers, and hedge funds, empowering them with a low/no code, fast, and reliable platform integrating data management at scale with real-time analytics.
Our team is a unique combination of former finance industry experts and big data tech experts. This diverse blend of backgrounds fuels our innovation every day.
